After many attempts at trying to get a fully functional magazine theme, I give you: Aparatus – my most complicated theme yet. Aparatus is as a premium WordPress theme that comes with a Mootools slideshow in the home page. You may also notice that I misspelled Aparatus (which I can lie and say was purely intentional) but honestly – did not know until the little red line in this HTML editor showed up underneath and I said to myself “WTF! If I change the spelling – think of all the places in the code I have to change!”.

Lap Of Luxury

We made this theme custom for our Bloggy Network blog Lap of Luxury. We wanted a theme conveyed rich and glitzy. Gold in the logo, and white and black are used as the main colors in this 2 column theme. It contains a sidebar on the right that allows for a large square ad up top, and splitting into 2 columns below that. Comes fully widgetized.

A special feature of this theme is the logo changer. You can use the default WordPress setting (“blog name”) or you can use your own logo. Upload your logo in the root folder of LapOfLuxury theme and name it logo.png or you can use the logo.psd as a template. You will find the source in the root folder of LapOfLuxury theme. (Image limitations: No more than 910px/120px).

Koi Theme

Koi is a simplified version of N.Design Studio’s theme (2009 redesign). Key features: multi-level dropdown menus, social media buttons, threaded & paged comments, and sidebar widget plus three footer widgets. This theme includes an option page to manage dropdown menus, favicon, footer tracking code, and social media buttons.

iTheme is a WordPress theme that is designed for the Mac lovers with a truly customizable sidebar. As an administrator, you can customize your sidebar’s contents without modifying the source code using WordPress widgets (no programming required). As a visitor, you can rearrange the sidebar by drag & drop or you can collapse the box to hide it.

Key features include: multi-level dropdown menus, social media buttons, threaded & paged comments, and widget support. It has been tested on WordPress 2.9 with Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and IE7+.

Notes

The main content area is 520px and sidebar is 270px.
Users with a CSS3 compatible browser will see the visual enhancement such as rounded corners and drop shadow.
